01 About

AI multiplies judgment. It doesn't replace it.

I've been in IT since 2000, fixing and assembling computers in southern Brazil, then running my own computer shop and studying computer networks. Six years as a business systems analyst followed: migrating ERPs and integrating the systems a whole company depended on, with results I measured before and after, like 41% less wasted development spend and a payroll run 31% faster.

In 2019 I moved to Canada and joined Bold Commerce. On Bold Checkout I led JavaScript, TypeScript and React work for seven years: checkout templates, a payment SDK and secure iframe, eleven gateways and wallets, and Go services where performance mattered. Since 2026 I'm full-stack on RePete, a Shopify app, building the admin merchants use every day.

Today AI is at the center of how I work. I run a multi-session Claude Code setup with my own skills, hooks and MCP servers, I helped lead Bold's evaluation of how developers use AI and wrote its AI-assisted development guide, and I build AI products of my own, like the sub-mind on this page. English is my working language and Portuguese is my native one.

- RePete: the merchant admin inside Shopify (React, Polaris, App Bridge) on a PHP/Laravel backend, including onboarding and the reports frontend I own.
- Picked to help lead Bold's evaluation of how developers use AI, then wrote the company's AI-assisted development guide.
- Bold Checkout: created the platform-agnostic checkout templates and designed the payment SDK and secure payment iframe from scratch.
- Integrated 11 payment gateways and wallets, from Stripe, PayPal and Braintree to Apple Pay, Google Pay and Meta Pay.
- Built Go services where performance mattered: the Enhanced Payment Service backend, Checkout Worker and Checkout Sidekick.
- JavaScript subject-matter expert for a 30+ developer team; authored the JS/TS standards, decision records and engineering specs; mentored six developers from co-op to junior.
- Kept two TypeScript apps at 100% unit-test coverage. They were the most stable apps on the team.
